You have to have a license to operate one first.
where does one go to get certified here in town? Ive done a bit of reading and would like to get more information on materials Smile
Me and don brought this up. The local amature radio clobber has a test every month. They are supposed to be giving a class this winter sometime. You google amature radio you will find the arl website with loads of info.
even without a license you can use it in a emergancy ..
I am very interested in getting my certification.[COLOR="Silver"]

not a hard test, but its not easy. I failed my first shot at it. The next test is tomorrow and then the first week of December. You can't walk into the test and pass it with out knowledge of FCC and electronics.
ive taken my share of physics classes. just need to pick up a study book. any good books out there to help?
