This thread will serve as an information thread with dates, location and such. We will discuss any wheeling trips on the way down in another thread.

14, 15, 16 June 2013. You can show up Friday night and sign up and get your camping spot. Space is tight. It's the norm to unload your gear then park your tow rig and trailer out inthe parking lot. Usually there is a drivers meeting or something first thing Saturday morning. There isn't a schedule of events up yet. When one gets made I'll be sure to post it here. There is the obstacle course (rules will get put out), RTI event ran by Arctic Offroad, an auction, a raffle, some food and good times.

Some info from the M&G organizers:

Join us on Father's Day weekend for an Obstacle Course, Articulation Ramp, Rollover Seminar, Kids Games, Camping, Auction, Food, Fun and Prizes.

Cost is $15 per person, $40 per family and includes all activities. Driving activities may require additional forms. Tickets sold at gate

Each year, the Alaska 4x4 Meet and Greet offers awards for participants. The 2013 categories are Best Buggy and Best Licensed Rig based on performance at the Obstacle Course, and Peoples Choice King and Best Street Queen.

This year we will be holding an Auction to support our mission, the Museum of Alaska Transportation and Industry, and the event. Some items that we have already secured for the 2013 event include: Overnight accommodations for 2 at Chena Hot Springs Resort including park passes, Bounce House rentals from For Fun Alaska, H2Oasis Family pass (2adult, 2 kids), a PowerTank, tow straps, $300 gift certificate to Advance Adapters, and a LOT more to come!

Stay tuned as more information comes in and I hope to see you there.
Some good things ramping up for the 2013 M&G. As mentioned before there will be an auction in place of the raffle to give people a better chance of getting what they may want. If you or a business would like to donate an item or service from the Fairbanks area that would be awesome. Just send them our way. ONly two places from up here have donated anything. Might be nice to see some stuff on the auction block that wasn't down south.

The comittee is working on the schedule and making events. There is also a t-shirt design contest in progress. The theme is Playing Dirty. So fire up your creative side and submit a desing on their facebook page AK4X4 M&G this page is also where you can keep up to date on what's going on.

Hope to see you all there this year.
