I was thinking about putting a 4L60 4WD (4 speed) trans to my Jeep inline 6 and finish it up with putting it to my D300. What do yal think is it worth it?
It will probably end up costing about 2000$ with all of the adapters, the tranny and hardware...

Thanks for yals opinions....
The 4L80E would be a stronger choice but I think the 4L60E would work well in your Jeep OD would be nice for DD use.

4l60's are pretty strong trannies, they have been proven to hold up to bigger motors and tires than what you have on your Jeep. Of course the 4l80 is the better of the two, but I'm sure you'd have an easier time finding the 60 and probely get it cheaper as more and more people are looking for the 80's...the 4l60 is basically a newer electronic version of the chevy 700r4, so there is always that route too.

I second this.

If you're doing this swap, the 80 isn't gonna cost much more than the 60. While the 60 should work with the power and weight you're pushing, why not get the strongest you can the first time?
