Alright I'm wondering what's going on now. I drove home from class today and when I parked, I turned the headlights off THEN switched the highbeams off. To make sure, I pulled the lever back AGAIN to the flash position and let it go, then the whole thing CLICKED, all the lights flickered and the engine hiccuped. I turned the key to stop it and it kept running like nothing happened. Took the key out, still running, dash lights are on with the headlights off. None of the warning lights, just the gauge cluster illumination.

I then put the key back in, turned it to on, then turned it back off again, kept running then it clicked again and shut off on its own, with the key out of the ignition. Was this my autostart doing something stupid? it hasn't worked since I got it, I didn't try to use it after I got out but I should have. Any ideas? I'm wierded out right now.

Well before I got done reading what you post, I thought to myself...Self I wonder if he has autostart. Something might have crossed or a signal set it off. If it does it again I would take a look at it. Other than that, just observe. Where did you get the autostart put in? What brand? One way or Two?

It's a one-way astrostart that came with the Jeep when I bought it, never worked for me.

Thats what I had in my wifes car. It locked the doors on me a couple times but never started and stayed running with no key. Call ghostbusters. Sorry, dont know what to tell you. Is your Jeep under warantee? Maybe they will take a look at it.

Have you been able to duplicate it on comand? If so cool! You now have safe run mode for going into stores and junk. Maybe that sequence of switches turns it on.(?)

Definately auto-start related. Take it to auto-trim, or somewhere like that. They'll rip you off getting it working right.
