All the IFS kits, save two, suck. They are expensive, weak, underengineered, and provide little if any benefit. The exceptions (except for price) are total chaos and camburg. However, to be honest, I'm not sure what they have to offer for a 86-95 pickup. You'd have to look into it.
With careful trimming an a set of 15x8 wheels with 4.75-4.825" backspacing, you can run 33s on no lift. With the 2" lift you mention, you should have no trouble with 33s. If bigger than 33s is your target, cut out the IFS and trade in a straight axle.

If you want to run 35's it can be done but it is sort of like wheeling a d35 on as Jeep, you gotta be careful. That`said, I am putting a 4" superlift suspension on my truck in the next coiuplke of weeks on my truck to fit 33's and if I want to go higher then that I figure a bodylift will fit 35's. There is a green Toyota on base running 35's with a rancho 4" and 3" body. Clear pretty easily and looks pretty good (except for the color........). The total chaos lift is nice but get pricey REAL quick. I figured an axle swap would be about 2K without someone doing the work after all the parts and shipping. Yotatech.com has a fairly decent section for help as well.
Good luck,
AL

I spent alot of time debating onwhat I want to do with mine before I decided to not swap the axles. I have a lifetime warrany on my half shafts, and there aren't too many rocks up here. At the same time I upgrade my lift (torsion twist right now) I plan to put in lockers front and rear. I might not flex but the lockers and winch should get me anywhere I want to go. If I decide to go to 35's then gears and brakes and a 3" bodylift. I don't see 35's on this truck though.

i will prolly stick with the ifs just beef it up as much as possible, i know the sas will be the best deal but this yota is still my daily driver so it cant be to crazy, 33 will do just fine for the little 22re, and stock axels.
thanks for all the help though

I hate the idea of going with a 3 inch body lift! Go with no more than a 2 inch. Things rub with a 3 inch and not to mention the leverage. Alot of body kits come with small diameter pucks so say, while some kits are well made with 3 inch diameter under the cab section and spacers for the steering drop etc. For a body lift check out Rodger Brown.
For the rear you could put in some chevy springs and french them into the frame and that would be very cheap and you could retain your ifs front with the torshion bars cranked a little bit.
2 inch body lift around less than $150. Crank torshion bars Free. Chevy springs in rear used $100. bones or less and get er done! Check out Marlin Crawler's Forum and web sight for all the info you could possibaly need.

cranking torsion bars will mess with your alignment hardcore, body lifts are pretty close to worthless... if your going to do it do it right...

Martin - highboy76 has a fairly newly rebuilt 22RE that he was thinking of selling to swap a 350 into his monster toy - PM him, he'll make you a good deal.
Do some research and ask Alaska Toy a lot of questions - he's done this before. HandyAndy did his SAS with me doing a little welding and then he did the rest without much difficulty. I don't remember the kit he went with, but after welding the main piece in place it didn't take him 2 days. Research, rethink, research, get a plan, ask for advice from people who've done this, research some more and go for it. Also, both AKToy and HandyAndy also use their trucks as daily drivers.
