The President opened the conversation with a roast in ZMonsters honor. As always it was all in good fun! Thank you Chris for being such a good sport.
Bi-Laws Change Meeting: Has been set for June 11 at 10am location to be announced. This is a members only meeting. Any members who wish to vote must be present at the meeting in order to be counted.
All changes must be submitted to me, MudBuggy, in writing (email or PM) NLT June 3 so I have time to have them organized and ready to go for the meeting.
Membership vote in: We had one prospect Andrew-Lil Pete who was met qualifications to be vote in. The vote was unanimous.
Trail Rides: The last trail ride was Repp Road. Shane mentioned that due to the snow and ice this winter some maintenance (removal of fallen trees and cutting back brush) is need along the trail.
Required Gear: It is very important that all vehicles have two solid tow points both front and rear on any trail ride. There is a reason the club has published required gear and that is for everyone’s safety. A sturdy frame mounted receiver is fine for the rear point.
Meet & Greet: Kevin has the trophies for the club sponsored RTI Ramp all we need now is volunteers to help. Prior to M&G we need to do a dry run of the ramp so everyone who is going to help will know what needs to be done. We also need to come up with some ideas for an item to be donated to the raffle. Some suggestions where a etched knife, or recovery items. We can ask the local shops for items they might be willing to donate.
AOAA: The effort is being made to organize a local chapter of AOAA here in the Fairbanks area. This is an organization that supports all user groups not just the off roading community. A thread is posted with more information.
W2P: The Wounded Worriers Project has expressed some interest in working together on a few activities with us. Ideas are needed.
North Pole Speedway Mud Boggs: Start Sat May 14 at 2 pm.
Fund Raisers: Looking for ideas for fundraisers. Please post any ideas.
Blue Ribbon and Tread Lightly dues: Continued membership in both organizations with Pro and Cons for each where discussed. Blue Ribbon has been active on issues affecting our area and Tread Lightly not so much. So in a unanimous vote it was decided to drop membership with Tread Lightly.
Meetings: Mel expressed a desire to return to a regular schedule for club meetings and agreed that meetings will be set for the first Friday of every month at 6:30 pm. Next Meeting will take place at the park in North Pole.
BOD elections: At the June meeting the Vice President and Treasurer positions will voted on.
Nominees are:
Vice Pres~ Shane-Zukman
Treasurer~ Mike-SamuriMike and Mark-AKMark
All members present will vote at the time of the meeting. In accordance with the Bi-Laws members unable to make the meeting due to extenuating circumstances can vote by proxy but must talk to one of the officers prior to the meeting in order to do so.
Knives for Sale: Currently we have 2 knives left for sale. Because of the overwhelming response we will be ordering more. Please post on the tread if you are interested in buying one. All who are interested need to pre-order this month.
Next Meeting: Friday June 3 at 6:30 at the Park in North Pole.
