View Full Version : Breather vents
I need to redo the vent lines on my diffs and t-case. Figure it's a good time to put new valves on the ends. I'm looking for a good one way type check valve that lets air out and no water in. Any ideas where to find them?

They have billet aluminum breather valves. They have some that mount right to your diff housing so that you don't even have to run hose

I'm not sure how the rest of you feel about this...but I also like to install small fuel filters in the vent hose (just below the one-way vents) as well. I feel that it minimizes the chance of any contaminants entering the differential via the vent hose.

They make breather balloons. You attach them instead of a breather line. Instead of letting new air in it just expands and contracts.

ATV's often have these. They seem to work great. I've never had any problems with water in my 4wheeler's diffs - and I do plenty of water crossings around here.
