Are you looking for a shop to do it or just some one to help you? We can do it for you for $50-$100. We have alll the tools and have done a bunch on diffrint rigs.

Would a snorkel ruin the use of a dual battery setup in a TJ, say using a Mean green stacked rack from Quadratec?

I would have to see the Mean Green set up, But there is all ways other places for things. I had to do some nifty stuff to fit two batterys and the snorkle in my YJ, since the washer bottle had to be moved to where the batterys needed to go.

No, a snorkel would not interfere with a Mean Green or Kilby dual battery setup. The ARB snorkel uses a flexible hose that is routed under the OEM battery tray. Since it goes under the tray, it doesn't matter how many or in what position you have your vehicle battery.

I am looking for someone to do it for me. So I have been looking at a couple of different snorkels which one do you recommend? Also to install a snorkel you actually have to cut into the body?

Thanks

yes you have to punch a hole into the fender on the side it goes on.like 3" in diameter.

I got my ARB snorkel through Ebay and got it shipped up here cheaper than what Quadratec would sell it for.

There is the one 3" hole in the fender, 3 bolt holes in the fender, 2 holes in the windshield frame (for the top of the snorkel) and the hole in the bottom of your OEM airbox.

You are more than welcome to come look at my snorkel and I can show you what would need to be done.

I can install it for you, but I am really short on time until the wife and I move.
Mousee can install it.
Holeski can install it.

Well with you being short on time I will have someone else do it, however I would still really like to take a look at yours. When and where?

Thanks

The ARB/Safari snorkel is the best I’ve seen. It has moisture pockets inside to help keep water/rain making it to the air box. With other intake/exhaust mods the snorkel with give some more power. Not a lot but some. It also helps keep the motor cooler and in the winter you can turn the intake around or disconnect it at the air box. I have never had to. The only bad thing I have to say about it is the intake screen. The plastic that it is made of likes to brake when it’s cold. Between my YJ and our XJ we have been though 3 in the last few years.

How long would it take you to do Holeski?? And you said $50-100 to install?

I'm drooling right now, but in order for a snorkel to do any real good you'd have to waterproof under the hood and inside the dash as well, otherwise taking deep water may not lock your engine, but it may fry your electronics. Talk to Great white about that one. :o

Buckeye, that first link you posted to Ebay, those are the people I got my snorkel from. They were really cool and everything got delivered really quick. Whenever is good for you. I live on EAFB, so you can swing by. Give me a call 372-3264 this weekend.

Well first off Fords are bad when it come to the computers getting wet. Jeeps are a bit better. Ask any one who was with me the night I sunk the XJ. The water was up over the dash and steering wheel I had to go out the window, turned around and shut it off. I have had my YJ that deep 12 or so times. The fist two end up with a new moter each time. Then I got the snorkle never a problem.

Any way it would only take me about an hour or so to do. Not more then two.

Call it a guess, but since the Ebay links Buckeye put up are for a 97-05 TJ.....I'm guessing it's in that range somewhere.... ;D

Whats up Nate. I was talking to someone a few days ago about your snorkle set up and how it was the best homemade one I've seen. He can pull it off and you can't even tell that there is anything there to stick it in to. Hope to see you back down ore way,
