View Full Version : NV 3550 swap question
What is needed to swap this tranny between a 258 and a 231 in a YJ? Is it bolt up or do you need an adapter...

Check with Advance Adaptors and/or Novak to find out what you need and prices.

Novaks site is really well laid and their is a welth of info on their. Prices are listed up front as well. Can't say the same for AA though. You might poke around the above link and I am sure you will find your answer.

With Advance Adaptors, call them and they will send you all kinds of info. I wish I would have known you were looking for info. Since Stacey and I are cleaning to move, I just went through all my magazines and booklets and I know for a fact that I just threw away my Advance Adaptors books.

You need a bell housing, slave cyl from a stock TJ that had that tranny in it. The 231 is bolt up. Might need a different pilot bushing eather AA or Novak has that. Then tranny mounts and linkage.
