I ran an Aussie in my 44a. It is a good locker, with very consise directions on install. It never failed me. Quiet when it rachets.

I ran an Aussie locker in my D30 in my YJ before I did my Axle swap, the Aussie locker is a great locker, dang near bullet proof, I broke everything around the aussie locker, ring&pinion, axle shafts, u joints but the Aussie looked like brand new when I puelled it out and installed it in my buddys TJ, its still in use today, I give it a big:yes:

Same as Angler. I run two. I have broken every thing but the locker and it's always performed flawlessly. I just had my front out the other day to look it over while changing broken shafts and still looks good.

I thought you had ARB's Ole?

Aussie is a type of lunchbox locker, it's a brand name, we're not talking about lockers from the Austrailian side of the world.

No biggie, just got confused for a moment.

You'd break more shafts with the aussie, as it probably wouldn't be very forgiving when you turn around.

Yeah, I can turn of the ARB when I need to.

They are in fact manufactured Down Under. Adelaide, to be precise.

Sorry I forgot to clarify, I should've put they are one of the brands made by Australians. As ARB comes from there as well.

If your planning on getting one for a 44 plan on at least an 8 week backorder:mad: (only 4 more weeks to go :D)

aussie version of the lock right seems to be alot better made .. i broke all 4 pins in my 7.5 in diff on my tacoma .. and the aussie seems to have less wierd quirks operating ..wich is weird cause they look so much alike ..

a good friend of mine ordered a lock right from Rusty's offroad, we installed it in his Dana 30, he wheeled it for about 3 trips, it sheared off all the pins, we pulled it out sent it back they replaced it with a brand new one free of charge, he wheeled it about 6 months it sheared the pins again, we took it out he replaced it with a used Aussie locker he got on e-bay he still wheels it and its been over a year and still works perfect.

hmm, seems I should start looking around for an Aussie for a D35...that is if I decide to keep running the 35 much longer.

Never ran one but heard good things about them. the only issue I have with my Lok-rite is when it ratchets it's loud.

The Lock Right in my Dana 60 has never given me issues... and it has been run hard on a heavy truck.
