What a great day. 24* at the pull off when we started. 54* when we finished.
Fatalities- One grouse thanks to Justin and his bronco.
Carnage- Another long dent in the XJ Broke ujoint, ears and shaft on the XJ.
Vehicle issues- One stemaing, yes acid steam was coming out, optima. An XJ that ran all day not hooked to a battery. A bronco having issues staying running on the hills. A bronco having posi-lok issues. A trailer that needs a slightly longer wiring harness to be used behind the rubi. A trailer that needs brakes. A trailer that needs tie down inside it. A trail that need fender mounting reworked. A rubi with a flashing rear locker light.
Fun- Cant begin to list it all

Gina started out driving the XJ and did great until the slate hill. But it wasn't her driving. We all, except for Justin who parked, had to take the first bypass. Now before any of you guys start harping us, you head out there early in the morning and do it first. I took another bypass around the second part of the hill which I think turned out to be worse as I got a dent riding against a tree trying ot turn back onthe trail. Mareck made it up that part after reaching the revlimter afew times. the rest of the trail was uneventfull but extremely fun. All found the geocache and signed it. Headed down to the river valley but stopped at the same place as last time. This time due to noone having a winch and it was fairly baddown there. On the way out I decided to back up the slate hill. Everything was going fine until Gina started laughing and saying "you can go up it in reverse but not forward". Then pop, pop, pop, grind, grind, pop. Pull forward grind, pop you get the idea. I snapped the ears on the pass side axle shaft and snapped the ujoint. After some work we got the outer axle shoft pulled and stuffed the tube with a rag to prevent oil from leaking. Bent the remaining ear on the hub over, bolted on and out we went.

Great views, about 20 ptarmigan seen, a few grouse including the one justin hit. And the trailer pushed Mareck down the hill. What a good tim. I will get some pics uploaded soon.

this is a real feather in the cap, or bloody feather on the grill, as the case may be. Very cool to see it's maiden voyage be going up 55 mile trail.

I think t is awesome that the trailer is finally fully mobile and being used on the trail. Is the pull pal mounted in there?
IS a winch on receiver mount next on the list of club equipment?

call it the little trailer that could, could push the rubi down the hill all 4 locked up and turn the rubi almost sideways in the trail.it only did that before slatehill on the way out so i think it was due tot the saturated wet ground being thawed out when we came back but your more than welcome to go try it for yourself. But i do have to say this is ride so smooth on the trail and on the road, needs a couple of things fine tuned.
No the pullpal is offbeing used somewhere else right now.
oh yeh anyone want to buy some crappy toyo m/t's?

We took about 120 pics. So it's going to take me some time to get most uploaded. Majority are scenery and the kids. I really need to get the hard drive and upload lots of pics.
