I know this is not a 4x4, but this thing is going to be one wild ride when it is done. I purchased this car from from Rodger Nelson an A-10 pilot here on base. He had gotten it from an older man than started to modify it. Unfourtainly it got hit by someone running from the cops and it got totaled. He got it back from the insurance co., and let it set for about 3 years until I got it from him only paying $1000 for the car. Here is a list of stuff that has been done to it.

Engine:
Stock LT1 350 short block
Stock LT1 heads w/ ARP screw in studs
GMPP LT1 hot cam kit including 1.6 roller rockers, HD retainers & locks
Crane chromemoly push rods
Crane valve springs
Pete Jackson gear drive
ARP head bolts
Melling high volume oil pump
BBK 52mm throttle body
Z28 MAF (3.5")
SLP stainless steel headers
Flowmaster american thunder cat-back exhaust
Flowmaster 40 series mufflers
160 degree thermostat
PCM reprogramming

Suspension:
Cadillac Fleetwood limo HD front lower contol arms & spindles
METCO aluminum rear control arms
HO Enterprises front and rear sway bars
InTrax lowering springs
Edelbrock performance IAS shocks
Moog center link and tie rod ends
Global West tubular tir rod sleeves
Brake proportioning valve mod.
9C1 body bushings
Air lift 1000 air bags

Interior/Stereo:
Sony 10 disc changer
Polk Audio EX 4x6 front speakers
Pioneer 6x9 rear speakers
2 Rockford Fosgate 10" subs in custom inclosure
Autometer triple pillar gauge pod
Autometer gauges

There is more but I would have to go through all the papers and receipts. The plan is to give the motor fresh bearing and gaskets. Then replace the frame, and front clip this summer. Here are some pics as it sets now.

I know, but it will be worth it. When I get it done the car will be worth $14,000 to 16,000, and I should have under $5,000 into the car.

The only time I think I'll need help is pulling the body off and put it on a new frame. It should only take a few months to get it done when I get all the parts.

It will stay black, but will have some ghost flames put on it after we get back to the lower 48.

You expect a salvage titled car to be worth 14-16 grand restored? Good luck. 8O

If it was completly stock I wouldn't get that much, but with all the upgrades I could. This car has over $8000 in aftermarket parts on it right now. Down inlower 48 they go for close to 20 grand stock. Any way I am not going to get rid of it.

That was my thought too.

One question. How are you gonna fix the frame?

That was one sweet car. I am sure it will be again.

LT1 350....Hmmm....will it fit in a TJ? :ROL:

Yes a 350 will fit in a TJ!!!

Sharp looking car Martin! I wish Stacey and I were going to be here to help you with it. I really liked when GM came out with those. Shame they stopped them after only 3 production years.

I am just going to get a doner car for the frame. It has to be a 95 or 96 Caprice, Buick roadmaster, or another Impala. Pull the body off the car, set the two frames side by side and take everything from the old frame to the new one. I plan on painting the frame and what everelse that needs to be will it is apart trying to get the under side looking nice and clean for car shows when its done.

Hay Rob I wish you and Stacey would be here longer. I have injoyed wheeling with both of you. I really like the way this cars look to. They are one of GM's best sport sedan produced. Faimly car but with the handling and speed of a sports car.
