It was a good day on the trail. The only carnage was a broken negative battery clamp on the big Dodge and the mirror fell off the windshield of the Ranger.:lol:I lost the power brakes on the Ranger, but after arriving home, I discovered a loose vaccum line was the culprit.
We hit the trail from Brock Rd and passed through the infamous "recovery zone" with no problems. The ruts were covered by a couple feet of ice. We headed past there and after a few frozen slough crossings and finding the Pipeline, we eventually made it back to the Chena River where we collected some firewood that had toppled from the cut bank. We explored several side trails on the way back out. Marek got to put his new T-max winch to use when I decided to test the limit of the stock Ranger's capabilties in a gully on the Peede Rd. extension.
The Ranger performed beyond all my expectations, breaking trail all day and only needing assistanc a few times. Marek's jeep performed flawlwessly and The big Dodge piloted by Chris made it through all the obstacles without any problems even with open diffs.

Not too difficult but we only have about a foot and a half of snow. we got on a few trails that we didn't get to in the summer. There are a lot more out there to explore.
The difficulty goes way up in the summer but that's what makes it fun.:D
