We started out from Kevins heading for Johnson Rd. 3 trucks total, me in the rubi , mike in his waggy and charlie in his ranger.
We hit the trail head no fresh tracks to speak of , headed down the power line with out problem. We were moving at such a fast rate that we decided to push past the big lake and up the other side. Charlie had a little problem with the hill on the other side so we winched him up. No sooner had we finished than 2 snowmachines pulled up and the yelling commenced. After defusing the guy we decided to turn around and head up behind Eielson to play. A quick stop and a phone call to tell them we were back there we ended up at the firebird landing strip. I decided to play in the snow around there. I ended up driving across a drift that held for about 10 feet then plop the jeep sat in the middle. Out can the winch and with nothing to hook to we use mikes jeep. everything was fine till the jeep slipped and the cable slide across the bottom of mikes bumper and cut it. So with no winch and having learned a lesson earlier this year I called Ole. We started digging with the pick and shovel while we waited. The wife yells there someone on the radio. Its Ole with Tom. Ole pulled down and with a tug it was out. We all stood around and BS'ed for a while and headed home
Thanks to Tom and Ole for coming out to get us.
