Two functioning winches on BIGBOY = 27,000LBS of pulling power.
54,000LBS with snatch blocks. I wonder if I could pull the truck in half.

Thanks for all the help Mel.

I can't wait to see the whole rear bumper get finished. It actually looks decent with just the winch mount. Glad to help.

GOOD news. inner tube, staun diaper, spare wheel, spare tire are all in. just a matter of days before I get them. I am going to pick up some e brake cables and linkages/parts tomorrow . .. after the tires and ebrakes are set in place I will meet the club requirements for trail rides. ..

now I just have to figure out how to lower the blazer 2-3 inches to be road legal.

I modified my bedside, tranny pan, gas tank, front diff cover, tie rod, and draglink.
And the only tools I used were big rocks.
I also emptied my fire extinguisher and modified a FRS for use underwater.

It was an awesome week.

Not bad enough to be visually noticeable by the wheels but it does bind when the suspension articulates.

New rear diff installed , New caster shims (pinion now points at T-case output now), new rear axle u-bolts too. Noisy rear was broken center pin in rear diff.

I want to thank Don, Mark and Mel for helping me out on this!

Shifter boot installed,
tools put away,
spare tire in the back of my blazer,
watching the boards for the next trail ride.

A Christmas tip netted me a manual crank tailgate for FREE!!! Just need to knock out a dent and install a new piece of glass.

Gonna try to get the interior put back together and need to install the underhood wiring and heater box so I can install the front clip prior to the move.

If I get the time, I will put the new rear end in, but I doubt I will get the time prior to the move.

With this tailgate, and the odd colored doors and front clip, I'll be rivaling old Calico for most multicolored truck soon.

I have to do some trimming of my rocker guards as it makes contact with the tube flare so I couldn't get it to match up correctly and as you see I was running out of daylight.

I didn't get much done today but here is the difference between the stock fender and the highline fender. Keep in mind I'm running 36" tires

Update your rig status here! - ajpthng - 15 Jul 10

The fenders were $550 but I also got the inner fender mounting kit for $160 and the LED lights I think were another $60. I think shipping ran me right around $50.

what is the wall thickness on the tubing? pretty sturdy? I have a friend who made his own, but a rock ate them up on a roll.. well more like a mean lean.
