Rubicon or Moab

We're moving to Virginia this summer and making a grand road trip out of it. Taking the ferry then down the PCH and across the country from San Fransisco seeing all the sights along the way. I'm going to take 1 day along the trip for wheeling in a popular destination and I'm trying to decide between Rubicon Trail and Moab.

I think it depends on the time of year. I would chose moad though if it were me.

Moab. Many of the fun trails are close to town and can be 'done alone'...i.e you won't die if you have water.

Fins'n'Things is the easiest 4-rated trail that route finding is not tricky though. I you haven't been there, we may need to talk about some key things to do with the kids AND the jeep.

Moab, the Con isn't for someone who plans on going alone that hasn't been there before. If you want to go to the Con, I have a buddy who lives near there that could take you, but they are really coming hard on rules, such as if you vary just a few feet from the center of the trail you are fined big.

Since you are in the middle of a road trip, Moab would be great, me thinks.
