I really like the chamber too. I haven't found a price on them yet. Everyone seems to have the 767, that's why I am leaning more toward the chamber.

EDIT: Here is the cheapest place I could find them. http://www.tiresdelivered.com/products.php?cat=758 $168 plus delivery.

Go to Sears and get a price on them, they'll price match even online purchases with shipping included. I think they're less than 168 a piece though. That place with shipping comes to 224 a piece....that sounds way too steep for a 15x8.

michaeljr5

I'll do that TJV. :allrighty:

It's funny... I was driving it lastnight and it occured to me how much the Monty had changed since I bought it. She just drives differently than she did when I bought it. Just seemed different.

I do need someone to help me out with a tire fit test. I need a 6 on 5.5 Lug rim with a 33 inch tire to test the clearance and stuff. Any help would really be appreciated. [Image: toothy11.gif]

EDIT: I'm also going to need to cut about 3 inches off the front bumper ends by the tires. Then they will need to be recapped. But, I guess I'll get to that sometime. I'll have to find a cutting torch, a saw just isn't going to cut them.

Yippy, my new camera came today!

Here is a better picture of the gap on the bumper. As you can see I painted the metal black underneath the light.

First gear problem seemed to have fixed itself...I'll still pay some attention to it in coming days and if I still feel a shimmy, I'll be hightailing it to Gene's for that and an AC recharge/fix under warranty.
I put the body lift on this past week, I had to do some fabrication on the body bracket, the aft one next to the rear bumper. I will post some pic's when I get unstupid about posting them. Saturday morning I'm starting on the suspension lift.
With Justin's help, we put the Disco's on last night. Don't think I'll be disconnecting them any time soon though. Noticed when we were putting them on that with them off, I get enough flex that the brake lines get pulled kinda tight, so I'll need to get some extensions before I disconnect them.
Same here. I had to bend the rear bracket a bit as well.

naturalbornmudder

looking good George.

When is the wrenching intervention?

michaeljr5

I've started to switch the Monty over to 33s. I got 2 steel 15 inch rims in the garage and one 33 12.5 R15 MTR. Still have a ways to go, but it's gonna be worth it. :allrighty:

TJVigilante

Huh, if we're doing current status as in what rides....here goes:

Last ride: July 4th Fort Wainwright.

Last trail damage: do scratches count? If not, then it has to be somewhere at fairbanks creek where I tweaked my rear bumper.

Last mod done: 2" budget boost spring spacers

Next mod in order: York Onboard Air system when I get around to cleaning up the compressor and getting the right stuff for it. It's been sitting around for about 3 months now...then I get new shocks, new springs for the front, and a winch.

You should see if Tom (ajpthing) is interested in selling the ones he just took off his TJ. Just a thought.

TJVigilante

I'm talking to 28this about his WJ springs, thanks. They give me a bit of lift on their own, and if it's only 1" compared to the 3" the ZJ springs give me(heard this a few times, may not be true), then I can use the spacers to even it out.

michaeljr5

I got my rim "down-grade" started today. Thanks George! You the Man! :allrighty:

They clear my Calipers by about 1/4 of an inch and I need new lug nuts. Currently they have 32 12.5 r 15 tires on them. But as soon as I get my MTRs sold and get my new 33 inch MTRs, I'll be a lot happier! I'm also going to need to get some of that 3 inch flat fender flare stuff.

Wow, huge difference....can't wait to see the 33's on it.

michaeljr5

She's getting a really bad humming sound from upfront. I think it may be that the tires are really bad. I'm not sure.

TJVigilante

Most likely it's the tires. The MTR's should be quieter, or at least they should be a uniform hum.
Wow, that looks so much better with black rims. :allrighty:

AO sticker is on the Taco but its too small. I want a bigger one

holeski

OH I have bigger ones stop on by!
If I ever remember while I'm in town...
Ill drop by the sticker shop and get some larger ones ordered up.
Well for those of you who don't know 4th of July weekend I upgraded from my 3" Suspention to a 4.5" with adjustable front and rear track bars. I have a total lift of 5.5" now. The big thing is now to decide if I want to keep my 33's or go to 35's.

I say go to 35s. :allrighty:
