Summit racing has the best prices on Cragar steelies and they work with you on shipping. May want to talk to Ron too. Cool Just a thought if you can't find any around here.
Bumpers painted. Need new trailer wiring plug after dragging it 15 miles to workRolleyes.
Well Nate came by last weekend and helped me put the 1 1/4 body lift on the jeep then Sunday I installed the Kilby gas tank skid plate. tonight I finally got the rear mud flaps on. I need to get out and play I've been way to busy lately any one up for 55 mile on the 12th or the 18th? I really want to do that again before we leave.

Better late than never. Big Grin
New spring bushing in rear of zuk,
pros.
1.handles better ( no locker steer )
2. 3/4 inch lift for sagging rear end
cons.
1.lifts tires easier
2.the ride is very firm

Next front bushings and high lift jack mount on rear bumper.
mud was washed off of Skitzo.
Trans / t-case combo pulled form yard truck.

None of the above was my own doing! It's great to have pals. Smile
I had the inlaws in town, if not all the work would have been done.
I was nice to see them though.

Lil Chief currently on jackstands with the front axle disassembled, in the middle fo the ARB install. Got the rack put back on. Tore into the Dana 44. Awaiting leave return so I can get some 373's for it and will probably order the locker tomorrow. Sold the 32's Saving for 33's and enough steel to longarm the front.
i picked up a set of high steer knuckles from trail gear for the 85 .. with the lift needed to clear oil pan from the diff high steer is now manditory ..

found the manifolds needed to clear my chassis and the 5.8 ..its comes from a maverick /comet with a 302 ..they dump out straight back while hugging block ..now just need money to buy them ..

my drive way is now big enough to park all of this years meet and greet rv's and trailers side by side !!! 8 hours with a dozer and 50 yards of gravel later !
Got motor for waggy
Traded waggy for 87 F250 before I even picked up all the pieces after the Jeep stripping party.
Replaced front spring bushings, found out frt shocks are 2"to3" short. Removed lower leaf from frt springs. that has softened up the ride a lot and i gained 1.5" of up travel too.

lil Chief is now assembled and the front driveshaft is going up to Youngs tomorrow to lengthen and fix the splines. When I slipped the yoke on it at the MP run, it sheared the end off of a few of the splines.
I have to runt he gears through a little bit of break in to make sure that the new pattern takes well.
Going to talk ron into helping wire up the switches and plumb the lines to the locker.

Also on the hunt for some U joint Dana 30 half shafts.

Got the Aussie and the 44 gears so the axle build for that will start some time this month as well.
T-Max 12.5K set up on the Grizzlybeaver and I've used it once on the rear to load that FSJ.

Had to perform surgery on the brain box to graft in the plug in power cable.

The DIY handles/control box mount came out looking good enough to fool Ole into thinking it came that way.

That wireless feature is SWEET!
Nate I think I have some D30 half shafts but all the u-joints are bad in them I garuntee that, well that's if they even have ujoints in them.
Cardboard mockup of fan shroud done. Going to AK Ruber & Rigging for a sheet of plastic tomorrow. We'll see how it goes. I need this done by Sat for the run.

The GC was sold today. Maybe a little of that money will go towards Army Green..

You weren't there

Guess I'm missing all kinds of good things Sad
Grizzlybeaver ready for tomorrow.

Fan shroud done. Turned out nice. HUGE increase in air flowing through radiator. Pics soon.

Starter replaced. Isn't it amazing how bad a part can get when it goes bad slowly, and then how much better a good one sounds...
Need to take the starter back out and take a look at the ring gear. I really dont want to take the transmission out, but we'll see.

Need to finally install those new motor mounts, too.
Ring gear's toast. New"er" starter still looks good. Today I'll be sliding everything as 1(bell hsing, OD, trans, t-case) back just far enough to pull the clutch and flywheel out. If anyone's not busy, I'll be slowly working at it throughout the day so I can take the flywheel in to town tomorrow. Hopefully Youngs has a ring gear (which I can do at home) but I'll also have them resurface the flywheel. I didn't do that last time I had it apart and wish I did. Otherwise Shmuck's website shows their part numbers so they could get one for me.
Well everything came apart without a fight. BTW, it was Ole who suggested checking the ring gear and he was right on.

I'm going to replace the starter too. The nose is a bit beaten up. If I remember right, the flexplate on the donor FSJ was grenaded so little metal pieces may have done a number on the starter which in turn did in my ring gear. A new starter with lifetime warranty is less than $50 and cheap insurance against having to do this again.
